This is my special post, which started from a simple healthy recipe for an eggplant salad,in witch I've used just one eggplant, a perfectly ripe avocado and some fresh red onion.
I wonder what's your relationship with food? How do you see it in your life?
For me, food is a friend, who inspires, helps and determines me to do special things.
Recently, I was asked by a friend of mine what a healthy life style means to me
In my humble opinion it’s all about the relationship you chose to develop with your food. Do you see food as a fuel? Or JUST "something"on which your survival depends?
I see food as something unique: I make it beautiful and pleasant and it makes me cute and strong.
I love the food, and as far as I see it, when I eat, I am present, I consciously enjoying and awaiting my body’s feedback.
Nowadays, there are so many obscure conceptions - for example:
- the well-known cheat meal, why would you consider indulging in a desert a way to cheat? be honest with you and accept that food is just food, you are in control, you make the decisions, "I chose to enjoy a dessert, I do not cheat, I just went for something different today."
- the desire to apply the compensation law, "Because today I chose to eat a very unhealthy product, or a very caloric dense one, I have to work twice as hard at the gym, or need to fast for the rest of the day’’
Funny concept, but you see you your body won't the exact calories you’ve just been eaten.
A healthier an more appropriate approach would be an easy balancing, for example throughout the week, not subject the body to additional stress.
There is much more to be added here, maybe i will write in the following post.
In conclusion, everything in moderation, including moderation.
Returning to today's recipe, the French bread:
1 tsp dry yeast mix with 1 cup of worm water, 1 tsp of salt and 2 tsp of sweetener of choice.
For the 10 let the sugar activate the yeast.
Add the whole wheat flour, 3 cups
Mix and knead all the ingredients
Cover the dough and let it rise for 20 min
Gently deflate the dough and divide it into 2 pieces
Shape each piece into a long baguette
Bake them in a preheated 250 degrees for 20 min.
Blend one perfectly ripe avocado and 1 fresh red onion with salt and pepper et voila!
Spread fairy dust not hate!
