Stuffed dumplings

My childhood desserts – episode 2
I want to continue my clumsy journey to recreate my mother’s wonderful dishes.
I miss her stuffed dumplings with the delicious cinnamon roasted bread crumbles.
This dessert is a heritage from the Austro-Hungarian Empire, which is, in fact, a Czech dish.
For 10 dumplings I used:
2 boiled potatoes
1 egg
2 teaspoons of cinnamon
little salt and nutmeg
5 tablespoons whole coconut sugar
1 cup bread crumbles
10 tablespoons whole wheat flour
10 pieces of berries (I had frozen strawberries and blackberries)
1 tablespoon butter
Crush the potatoes and add the egg, 1 tablespoon cinnamon, salt, nutmeg, 2 tablespoons coconut sugar and the whole wheat flour. Knead all the ingredients until you get a delicious sticky dough.
Divide the dough into 10 approximately equal pieces and shape it with your fingers in a small pie attempt. Place the fruit in the middle and cover with the remaining dough.
In a pot with boiling water, place the dumplings for 2-5 min, until they are floating.
In a pan melt 1 tablespoon butter (vegan or not) and roast the bread crumbles with the remaining cinnamon. When it has a brown color add 3 tablespoons of coconut sugar.
Cover the dumplings with the hot and spicy bread crumbles et voila!
